THE MICHIGAN HUMANITIES EMERGING RESEARCH SCHOLARS (MICHHERS) PROGRAM
MICHHERS is a program at the University of Michigan aimed at diversifying the pipeline to doctoral study in the Humanities, including History. This all-expense-paid program is designed to interest and inform students about the research opportunities available for Humanities scholars at Michigan.
Michigan's History Department and the Rackham Graduate School are committed to diversity in graduate education. Our two-week program will host talented students (juniors, seniors and those currently in terminal M.A. programs), particularly those from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in graduate education who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in History.
